Brentwood Public Library – http://www.brentwoodtn.gov/departments/library – FXP Hula Hoop Fitness at the Main Branch. This class is a unique blend of pilates, barre and yoga, all with a hula hoop! For all fitness levels, there is no need to know how to waist hoop. Wednesdays at 9:45 a.m.
Other programs include: Restorative Yoga, Sundays from 3-4pm; Core Fit Exercise, Mondays from 10-11am: Through the use of hand weights, bands, and medicine balls real life functional movement patterns such as twisting, bending, pushing, pulling, lunging and squatting are executed in a fun and creative way; Beginners Vinyasa Yoga Flow, Mondays from 11am-12pm; Pilates Mat Class, Tuesdays 9-10am and Thursdays 9:30-10:30am; Flow into Joy Yoga, Tuesdays from 10:15-11:15am; Vinyasa Yoga Flow, Wednesdays from 10:45-11:45am; Peaceful Yin Yoga with Meditation, Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm (no classes during Summer 2017).
Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library – https://mcgtn.org/library/about/calendar – Free Yoga class offered Saturday afternoons.
Cleveland Bradley County Public Library – http://www.clevelandlibrary.org/library-events/ – Zumba Gold offered regularly, library staff go to public schools to do movement programs, and offer them at the library.
Clinton Public Library – http://clintonpubliclibrary.org/ – Music and Movement offered twice a month; library occasionally has movement based programs for teens (life sized board games, mini races, and physical video games.)
Jackson-Madison County Library – www.jmclibrary.org – Senior Tai Chi classes every Monday morning at 10 am.
Memphis Public Library – http://www.memphislibrary.org/events/ – Stretching class Friday mornings at 10 a.m. at Cordova Library; Zumba Mondays at 10:30 a.m. at Poplar-White Station.
Morristown-Hamblen Library – http://www.morristownhamblenlibrary.org/ – Zumba Mondays at 6 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., and Thursdays at 6:45 p.m.
Nashville Public Library – https://library.nashville.org/ – Yoga programs weekly at Madison, Main Library, Goodlettsville, Southeast, Bourdeax, East, Edgehill, Bellvue, Edmondson Pike, Richland Park; Tai Chi programs weekly at Hermitage, Bellvue; Fitness/Toneing class weekly at Bellvue; Other programs offered through “Be Well at Nashville Public Library” initiative.
North Bingham County District Library – http://northbingham.lili.org/ – Museum check out passes offered that get people walking through museums and learning history. Library offers a family pool pass that patrons can check out go swimming as a family. Library has STEAM kits for patrons to check out, some of these allow patrons to go out and experiment in their yard with gardening and other activities. Library offers park passes so individuals can enjoy state parks and hike. Library also offers fishing poles for patrons to “check out” fishing.
Obion County Public Library – http://www.oclibrary.org/ – The library has a walking track in its park. Seven times around makes one mile. It opens at 8:00 am each day except Sunday.
Smyrna Public Library (Linebaugh Public Library System) – http://linebaugh.org/ – Story Time Yoga is offered every Monday at 10:00 am (with the exception of summer) in Smyrna.
Tipton County Public Library – https://tiptoncountylibrary.com/ – Has StoryWalk® at multiple locations in community. The library also participates in Healthier Tennessee by promoting the use of audiobooks to keep moving.
