Adel Public Library – http://adelpl.org/ – An exercise group meets three days a week and follows various walking videos at the library.
Algona Public Library – algona.lib.ia.us – Library has a garden that hosts a weekly active story-time during the summer months. Herbs and vegetables, including basil, cabbage, carrots, oregano, tomatoes, from the garden are then shared with the community. The library also provides a seed library and accompanying programs that support community gardeners. Library outreach events take place at local farmer’s market where the library offers active programs, including scavenger hunts. The library also offers an annual day of service where families are invited to clean a local park and enjoy a brown-bag lunch together.
