Bellingham Public Library – www.bellinghampubliclibrary.org – Library offers classes encouraging movement for adults, such as Tai Chi and Chair Tai Chi, as well as children’s activities like Hopscotch and Hula Hoops. Active children’s storytimes also incorporate dancing and other movement.
North Olympic Library System – http://www.nols.org/ – Explore Olympic Pack gives free access to Olympic National Park by checking out passes to encourage learning, exploration, and health and wellness. Library also checks out pool passes, geocaching kits, and other supplies to encourage active lifestyles.
The Olympia Timberland Library in Washington has a Community Garden that Engages Homeless Patrons and Non-Profit Neighbors.
Whitman County Rural Library District. http://www.whitco.lib.wa.us/index.asp. Library offers a variety of fitness classes ranging from high intensity to low impact exercises. The library also offers children dance classes from a local dance studio.
